REV. ANNETTE LOVE

Rev. Annette Currie Love was born in New York City, and  raised by her grandmother in small-town Eastern North Carolina. Annette was raised in a warm, loving environment based on strong Christian principles, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and participated in all phases of Christian ministry offered by her church and community. In 2012, Annette answered the call of God to become a more vocal proclaimer of His word, and now serves as one of the licensed ministers at Northside Baptist Church (Durham, NC).

As a Christian and a survivor of domestic violence, Annette commits to speak, educate, train, raise awareness, and provide resources around this issue in the faith community and our broader community.  She does this as a witness of her faith, proclaiming “I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, who is my Savior, and Lord of every area of my life.  This relationship with Jesus Christ is from my childhood, for I was brought up in a loving home and church.”  Annette is grateful for each day, for within each, there are new opportunities to serve the Lord and others.

Annette’s formal credentials include over fourteen years of volunteer work and forty hours of training with Durham Crisis Response Center, certification through the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and further training on the ABC’s of Volunteer Management.  She also owns and operates her own organization, Faith Based Service Network: A Place of Peace. If you know of anyone who has suffered or continues to suffer from domestic violence, please visit www.faithbasedservicenetwork.com and leave your contact information.  Remember, “love does not hurt.”
